Almost everything went so smoothly, except this one tiny problem... I LOVE enlightenment, and have used it since lord knows when, but now all Gnome2 gives me the choice of is Metacity! At first, I thought no big deal and went ahead and: phantasm@office:~> ps aux | grep metacity phantasm 2680 0.1 0.5 10804 6148 ? S 02:59 0:01 /opt/gnome2/bin/etacity --sm-client-id=default1 phantasm 4298 0.0 0.0 1620 576 pts/2 R 03:12 0:00 grep metacity phantasm@office:~> kill 2680 ; enlightenment But a new oddity, enlightenment takes the Gnome desktop, and makes it a window. I thought Gnome2 was supposed to make things easier, not hide all its wonderful options behind something. Another problem, which I have never had since I started using SuSE is wvdial wont let my user account dial out, it forces me to su, which I really dislike. Anyone have any ideas while I scour the web for this info? It's not part of the default install for 8.1 IIRC. Add the enlightenment package seperately then choose if from the window manager, or do 'startx enlightenment'
