Messages sent with header only, SYSERR(root): readqf: cannot open
Hi I'm using a fully fou4s patched SuSE 9.0 email server running the standard Sendmail 8.12.10/8.12.10/SuSE Linux 0.7 I'm seeing a few messages that seem to get sent twice, the first time with only the header, then the full message later. /var/log/mail shows entries like Nov 22 12:20:28 charon sendmail[16998]: iAMCKBqG016952: SYSERR(root): readqf: cannot open ./dfiAMCKBqG016952: No such file or directory I've googled for this and found http://www.talkroot.com/archivee/index.php/t-3023__SYSERR(root):_readqf:_can _not_open.html and http://www.mailarchive.ca/lists/comp.mail.sendmail//2003-05/0214.html I'm using MailScanner (http://www.mailscanner.info ) to scan for spam and viruses and it mentions that there may be file locking issues for sendmail 8.13 and posix locking is required Does anybody know if SuSE sendmail has been patched to require posix locking ?
