I have Kweather running, but there is no single station I can get the data from, I keep getting this window: 'KWeather error! The requested station does not exist'. I have tried to increase the 'Update timeout' in the second tab of the configuration screen, but that didn't do anything. Any hints? -- Frits Wüthrich
The first time I added it to kicker, I had to reload kicker to show my settings... B-) On Friday 04 June 2004 04:17 pm, Frits Wüthrich wrote:

Either give it a station that exists or kill it. This from wmweather. I'm sure kweather has the same problem. wmweather: ICAO location indicator EHDB not found at NOAA, aborting Try klax (Los Angeles) just to see whether it is working properly.

Strange. Also I get a different symbol is I type in klax or KLAX. With the capital also the name of the place is displayed in the weatherreport, with lower case that is empty. With EHDB I do get De Bilt, but no report, only sunrise and sunset. How can I restart klicker? Rebooting my PC didn't resolve anything. -- Frits Wüthrich

it's kicker and not klicker. restart with 'dcop kicker Panel restart' -- Richard Bos Without a home the journey is endless

It still doesn't work for EHDB. I changed to EHSB, and that one does work after restarting kicker. So I guess De Bilt is not a problem of Kweather. Well, anyway, Soesterberg is also OK for me, and is even a bit closer by. Thanks for everyone who helped with this issue. -- Frits Wüthrich
maybe there are some stale settings in your ~/.kde dir. Try creating a new login, login under the newly created login, add kweather to the (kicker) panel and logout / in again and see if it works... B-) On Saturday 05 June 2004 03:03 am, Frits Wüthrich wrote:

I had the same problem. Enter the station ID, then exit and restart kweather.
