I've seen these symptoms with one 10.2 machine. Try appending "nosmp" to the boot options (start typing at the bootloader with the installation option selected). Of course it's likely to be an unrelated problem, but worth a try. _ Benjamin Weber -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

The same here. Seems to be a known bug. See https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=210931 and https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=224778 Regards, Martin -- Martin Walter University of Freiburg i.Br. --- Germany --- Fon/Fax: +49 761 203-4651/-4643 Rechenzentrum der Universitaet, Hermann-Herder-Str.10, D-79104 Freiburg i.Br. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

Well, I managed to install it on the free server. But for me the first try resulted in crash just after selecting install from the menu. Second time it went ok. But, I could not get the VMware tools to install properly. I installed the RPM ok, but then the script was not that ok... The vmhgfs compiling crashes (sorry, I can not copy the errors from the VMware.) I did install all the kernel sources, gcc, binutils and make. It still says: "Youdo not have VMware Tools installed". Did you guys get those installed? How? -- HG. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
