[OT APACHE] how to make sure directory indexing is off
Hey, I'm setting up a web server and I want to make sure that directory indexing is not turned on. Right now it the directive IndexOptions has FancyIndexing as an argument. I looked on Apache.org but it's not clear to me how to completely shut it off - Maybe "IndexOptions Off"? Anyone know? Leave IndexOptions as it is. To turn of indexing for a directory, find the Options line and put a minus sign before the word Indexes. Here's an example from my httpd.conf: <Directory /> # disallowed Indexes 27/01/00 Options -Indexes FollowSymLinks AllowOverride None </Directory> You should get the general idea from this...
