PS.: what about KMenu? I have a 'gap' between the main KMenu and the submenus. Any clue?
Does this gap appear between all main and submenus or just KMenu's? Mine give a very small overlap (actually a pretty sight, especially when using transparent menus).
Just between the main KMenu. The submenus are fine! Regards Harry
do you use alsa? my audio goes stupid once in a while making funny noises or even no sound at all ive found a quick work around that clears it up in no time if you use alsa. Simple just bring up a console su to root and run alsaconf (kde will pop up a message about sound server died, ignore this for now (dont click anything yet on it) just return through all the settings should automaticly select your soundcard, and then tests and exits, now on that kde pop up click for it to restart your kde sound. all done should work now... dave On Thu, 2004-02-05 at 10:11, Berge, Harry ten wrote:

I've used alsaconf in the past to solve sound problems and even recommended it to others. But this time it's a no-go. When alsaconf gets to the point of trying to produce the test sound, it hangs. Paul Abrahams
