Touched a nerve, did we? All I did was reply to someone who wrote "MS should..." and agree with that statement and expand it to people in general. By the way, PEOPLE SHOULD STOP USING MP3!
kubuntu is also not withinhe scope of this list.
Since when are people's sigs expected to be in the scope of the list? But since you brought it up, I use kubuntu, mepis, mandriva, and fedora because my repeated efforts to use suse 10.1 and 10.2 were unsatisfactory. The primary problem for me is package management. I used suse from 6.0-9.2. During those years I was BUYING the PROFESSIONAL retail boxed version, GLADLY paying $75.00 for a quality product. How horrible of me for still being interested in suse and hoping someday I can use it again. Agreed

Since it bothers the delicate sensibilities of the elitists of this list. -- Powered by SuSE and the electric company and coal...uh-oh, not within the scope again! -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

I thought about it a couple of times, but most of my music listening is on portable devices or my car stereo. Hardware ogg/Vorbis players are very thin on the ground. I'm not sure why, but I heard somewhere it's because Vorbis requires floating-point math and MP3 doesn't. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

Their link to the integer-only implementation is broken. But I believe them that it exists. ;) -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

Looks like one of Xiph's servers is down. SVN doesn't work and neither does their wiki. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

Ummmmm. Put the disk in the drive and let it do it's thing? Seriously, it would help a lot if you described the problem you are having. There are lots of SuSE versions running on Sata 2 out here. SuSE 10.1 do not recognize/support this controller vt8251(...from scratch..) and no HDD is available to begin install. I switch to 10.2 and ok. thanks. On Wednesday 14 March 2007 23:43, Bob S wrote:
