[opensuse] kdedevs - new taskbar window popups don't allow selection & normal popups disappear too quick.
Guys, In kde44, the new window thumbnails are great, but they don't allow you to switch to the app you need to switch to. Here are two konqueror windows I was trying to switch to: http://www.3111skyline.com/download/bugs/kde4/kde44-taskbar.jpg Another problem caused by the new popups is that the normal app label popups disappear before you can put the cursor over them: http://www.3111skyline.com/download/bugs/kde4/kde44-taskbar_01.jpg Both problems are intermittent. Sometimes you can switch with the new window thumbnails and sometimes the normal label popups can be reached, but 75% of the time neither work. Anything we can try as a work-around? -- David C. The jpgs are gone already, so I don't really understand the problem. FWIW I can mouse to the thumbnail, and click any of the windows previewed in to bring that window to front - is that what you were trying to do? Will, It must be a bug in the 11.0 factory build, because I can hover over the app in the taskbar, the image pops up: http://www.3111skyline.com/download/bugs/kde4/popup-noswitch.jpg and no matter how many times I click on it -- nothing happens. No switching, no nothing. If you are able to switch to the foreground by clicking on the pop-up, then your kde44 does something mine doesn't do. Also, on the new "Activities Settings" (rt-click on desktop) to set the wallpaper, if you "open" and browse for a wallpaper, when you select the wallpaper from a directory (wherever), it doesn't get added to the wallpaper list in the dialog "focused". You have to take the additional step to click on it again before the "Apply" button activates. This is a new "feature" of 44. Mea culpa, I was using a trunk install when I wrote that. Wait for 4.5.
