Hi everyone, I installed SuSE 7.1 Pro on one of my work computers this morning, a Dell PIII-650. A couple of strange things have occurred that I am curious about: 1. YAST2 can't get a network connection to use for the Online Update feature. However, I can ftp, use any browser on the internet, etc. YAST2 tells me to connect manually to the internet. 2. The sound card module won't load. The sound system is a Voyetra Montego, a.k.a. Turtle Beach. YAST2 Sound configuration lists the sound card, but when I try to load the module via YAST2, I get a "incorrect module name" error. Any ideas? Thanks, Ron Cordell

I have one of these cards. There are two options for it: 1) http://sourceforge.net/projects/aureal is a project to make good drivers for the card based on Vortex's released code. The sound quality is quite good, but SDL programs crash on me, which sucks because I have bought 4 Loki games 2) http://www.opensound.com has commercial sound drivers that aren't really expensive. The sound quality isn't as good, but they are much more stable. I paid for these a long time ago, and I'm still using them. Their support is fantastic. I made one support request on their web form ever, and I got a human reply explaining everything within 15 minutes. Purchase of these drivers includes upgrades. The installation is a no-brainer. If you download them and haven't paid for them, they will work for an hour at a time as a demo - -- James Oakley Engineering - SolutionInc Ltd. joakley@solutioninc.com http://www.solutioninc.com -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.0.5 (GNU/Linux) Comment: For info see http://www.gnupg.org iD8DBQE7JPmR+FOexA3koIgRAsX8AJwO803d3l+7d5cbcMGRKz6QcW5iuQCgt/9j ZuCPlxIaa/Xli3Xy+apMngw= =x3NF -----END PGP SIGNATURE-----
