Hello, Trying to get this infernal program started. Thankyou to Jerry, but it still isn't functioning. I get this when I try to start it: /usr/lib/jre1.1.7/bin/jre -cp /home/tom/moneydance/swingall.jar:/home/tom/moneydance/license.jar: /home/tom/moneydance/moneydance.jar:Moneydance /usr/lib/jre1.1.7/bin/../lib/i686/green_threads/jre: error in loading shared libraries: /usr/lib/jre1.1.7/bin/../lib/i686/green_threads/libjava.so: undefined symbol: _dl_symbol_value What does this mean and how can I fix it? Your CLSSP variable seems well formed.
/usr/lib/jre1.1.7/bin/../lib/i686/green_threads/jre: error in loading shared libraries: /usr/lib/jre1.1.7/bin/../lib/i686/green_threads/libjava.so: undefined symbol: _dl_symbol_value
Don't know what this is. When I use 'nm' on libjava.so I don't find _dl_symbol_value in the listing. I have both the jre and the jdk installed on my box. I followed the three steps described in the installation html on Sean's website and my copy ran without problems, using the settings in the Moneydance script I mailed to you earlier. JLK

This smells like the lib is using an internal function of the C library
that's not available anymore. I'd say, try updating your java runtime.
