[opensuse] dosbox <> kde 4.5 ctrl-f12 issue
dosbox uses Ctrl-F12 to increase the number of CPU cycles, but somehow this is interfering with KDE. If I start dosbox, then try to increase cpu cycles by hitting ctrl-f12 a number of times, the window is minimized. Only once I have my DOS application running am I able to increase the cycles. Anyone else using dosbox? -- Per Jessen, Zürich (-3.7°C) -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

Ctrl-F12 is mapped to "Show Dashboard" for plasma. In kickoff menu search for "Global Keyboard shortcuts", select "Plasma Desktop Shell" as KDE component. Then you can re-assign a new shortcut. By default ctrl-f12 is a global shortcut taken by the desktop for 'show dashboard'. Either reassign the cpu cycle shortcut inside dosbox, or stop Plasma taking it at System Settings->Shortcuts & Gestures->Global Shortcuts-
Plasma Workspace->Show Dashboard.

Thanks Will - dosbox does have a keymapper option, so now I just need to find a free combination :-) -- Per Jessen, Zürich (-4.8°C) -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
