[opensuse] Gnome calculator
Hello! I have OSS 13.1 installed with the latest 3.8 version of Gnome. I have recognized, that I don't have a calculator available, even though the gnome-calculator package is installed. I can also start gnome-calculator directly. Any idea, what can be wrong? No idea what is going wrong, In fact I have no idea what you are complaining about. You say you don't have a calculator available. You say you can start gnome calculator directly. So, I'm left wondering if there was a typo in one of those statements. -- _____________________________________ ---This space for rent--- -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org
I guess he means no menu entry in GNOME...
Have a look at the installed files of the package. Is the .desktop
file still in place?
Has it may been deleted by accident? Is it there in KDE :-)

Sorry for the late response, rpm -q --verify gnome-calculator rpm -q --verify gnome-calculator-lang gives no result, so I think, all files shoud be there and correct. And the issue is: When I type "calc" or "rechner" or when I look to the installed applications, I do not see a calculator; What I can is going to the command line and start it directly. I'd like to have it back in the menu. What can I do? Best regards, Johannes Am 10.09.2013 20:38, schrieb Damian Ivanov:

You probably have it in there, but don't recognize it being gnome-calculator. It appears as either "Calculator" or "Taschenrechner" under Utilities -> Calculator (or Taschenrechner?)
