[SLE] Problems installing new software with Yast
Whenever I try to install something using Yast2, it tries to download the entire CD1. Then I try to Abort, and Yast freezes. This is both from using the Yast Control Center, and also through the pop-up menu (I have Yast as a link on my task bar). So how can I download just one program? FYI I was trying to install KDevelop. ===== This has been a test of the emergency broadcasting channel, if this was an actual emergency, you would be dead. __________________________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? Are u sure? Normally yast will ask for the cd on which the package is, searches the cd and installs it. Are u using the "select software" option and not update SuSE? __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? If you are trying to install a file from the ftp site, just ignore the "CD1" thing...that's just how YOU refers to the FTP site... - -- Mitch Thompson, San Antonio TX // WB5UZG Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) http://home.satx.rr.com/mlthompson Independent Amsoil Dealer http://amsdealer.webhop.biz GPG: BBDA 3A2A 4483 BD0D 7CED B8A9 D183 C8F6 B0AF 66AE wget -O - http://home.satx.rr.com/mlthompson/pubkey.gpg | gpg --import - -- "There are 10 kinds of people in the world: those who understand binary, and those who don't." -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.0.7 (GNU/Linux) iQIXAwUBPmScEdGDyPawr2auFAI8bQf9HzecxqxBRpi1OJXtbPZ32dH5B9OjJ6x0 t5KxrWWOymLHle79i+3il72Qxf+puS4D2mCBrxzB/NMqiepB8SKhG3vpfrMFucbz DuZ4iUIihgbjSOIFEFZjPFIRiktJYJ64ZMSs4C7zwnn2RqX0dXJfqkkyypfhejbN pxyTEiJugF38SJeaIhiUns8LS1gHCBW3GtdN0/cVfkz9FLEJclps+MCMWbwEEfjl FLVDOn1eLheeyYBkVmROQUItTuODbh73QAPRoCHYL3bpHB8RAJYhP/dwe0+XmY0d GF1ocfVMZ5zXoeXYwrWVixlgCw7JfOPFOiIeicTb+NXM1lfYiKAupAgAkwlo0EEh 1MbhacThcCaXWaPAKDN/2crSipHQyUc4bApEunEL7XKfwQhPbwXc8LywFfUURVLR I8l7s6Ff2tjIbeflhjB3lzgwsXL9fsS73Lwoz7g5QJMAa4w44NyqKR+8VDsbyyPs kOFwP0LTaUThwv6r5lSSHywnCDAF7ZEJTbXxSzplGtjiV3E+4Yo6upbzng56EcU6 0r9VsziXKTwb+i5EMjwOC+mmTiY5MKua9TO/4nauMjX1adDak+jpPtnpQIbIN49M IUzpeqEFymEvAgIiq/UfHLWH2KQFud5/4SMdffvHbQeZswusnT2CYdcbSj4YGGGQ FIqhTYJBpe4C5Q== =mtma -----END PGP SIGNATURE-----
