Hi, I just realized yesterday that in KDE applications, all shortcuts (such as Ctrl-L for Checking New Mail) are not displayed in Menu anymore. Where can I configure this behaviour, as I've tried to look inside the applications (Configuration) or from Control Centre? Regards, Verdi

Sorry, the line should be: when pulling down the File menu, for each menu item, only the label/name is displayed. But what I want is the name of the menu item and the short cut. For example in KMail, under menu File, my previous KDE (2.2.2) displayed "Check new email Ctrl-L" while after I upgrade, I only see "Check new email". Regards, Verdi

Verdi, I don't know how things are in KDE under v-8.0, but in "pre-historic" v-7.3, there are at least two places where you can insert your own key combinations (they're called "key bindings"). The general place is in Control Center-Look & Feel-Key Bindings. Then, KMail has Settings-Configure Key Bindings. HTH -- Regards, gr, in /usually/ sunny, balmy Florida's Suncoast.
