May I suggest you use amarok 1.4. it works really well with my ipod (30G 5G) and several other devices. It doesn't do iTunes, but I don't see that as a lack. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

It is s significant "lack" if you have an iPhone and want to sync/update/manage the phone. Why is phone management done with a music player you ask? -- ----------JSA--------- Someone stole my tag line, so now I have this rental. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

The exact reason I didn't get an iphone when I did my upgrade. Why replace a 120g ipod with no more than 16g? Perhaps it harder to make a phone call with the ipod. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

Considering that the OP didn't specify what he was going to use it for, I really don't see the relevance. He just wanted to install iTunes. Tried it once myself.. What a mess.. When I say iTunes, I mean the Apple music store. Amarok maganges an iPod quite nicely. I "think" iPhone support is there too. I could be wrong. It's been known to happen from time to time. I seem to recall apple changed the hash in the itunes db on the devices but that was found and fixed pretty rapidly at least once. I could be thinking about gtkpod/libgpod too. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
could y'all kindly not hijack this thread? i'm actually interested in a relevant answer _here_, without the noise. there are lots of other places for you to have your iphone-related debates ... thanks much. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

np, then. just fyi, the apparently relevant bug for this itunes issue is: http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=15533 iirc, no fix as yet ... if/when it does, i suppose it'll find its way into your pkgs. thanks. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
