Yes, most (if not all) USB sticks are FAT of one sort or another, and my experience has been that Linux (openSuSE) can read FAT(12,16 and 32)

I don't honestly know, but FreeDos comes to mind. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

Yes, as long as your BIOS matches the motherboard you are updating. Make sure you install the package dosbootdisk, which is a freeDOS boot disk. -- Joe Morris Registered Linux user 231871 running openSUSE 10.3 x86_64 -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

I have a 120GB usb drive formated as FAT. I am able to read and write it from openSUSE 11.0 with no problem. My XP Home virtual machine can also read and write it. Not sure about the BIOS stuff -- Russ Linux register user 441463 -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
