[SLE] test.php3 gives 403 error?
Ok, what did I miss? When I go to my local URL of http://192.168.1.2/test.php3 I get a 403: Forbidden error. Did I forget to turn something on in my Apache install? This is my server-status line: Server Version: Apache/1.3.12 (Unix) (SuSE/Linux) mod_fastcgi/2.2.2 balanced_by_mod_backhand/1.0.8 DAV/1.0.0 mod_perl/1.24 PHP/3.0.16 Server Built: Jul 30 2000 22:47:29 Therefore, I know that I have PHP installed and running. Any ideas why I can't get the test.php3 to return? Let me amend that: I can get to the test.php3 page if I do it from the local box. However, I cannot do it from, say, my WinTel box, which is the "primary" user PC. Any ideas? At 12:55 AM 10/9/00, you wrote:

Ah yes - this one caught me too - If you check the configuration file you
will find this:
<Files test.php3>
Order deny,allow
deny from all
allow from localhost
</Files>
In other words, it is set up to only allow the file to be run from the local
host address. You need to add 192.168.1.2 to the allow from to actually run
this.

DOH! There it is, right where you said. Sounds like I need to read through the httpd.conf file. Thanks! At 07:43 AM 10/9/00, Alan Lenton wrote:
