[opensuse] Kmail colors
Sorry to break the thread, but I wanted to shut Kmail down and see if the suggestion worked. It didn't. I went to Settings>Configure Kmail>Appearance>Colors>New Message. which showed red, and snapped on that, and selected black, then I waited for a new message. Red. I really want the message listing to be in black. How? To be more specific, if I haven't been, the message _text_ has been converted to black, by fiddling with this in the past. It's the _listing_ of messages, by sender, source and subject which comes up red on screen. --doug --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

Hi Doug, I can't tell from what you've written if: a) you clicked 'apply' to save the color change and b) you closed KMail and relaunched it prior to checking if the color change 'took' Carl --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

Carl Well, I thought it worked. Yes I shut down KMail, and then started it up again. It seemed like I was getting a listing in black. But now it's red again. I'm going to make it dark blue, or something, which it never is, and see if I can find a pattern.

You didn't indicate that you selected "Apply" after your intended change, which sets it. Could that be it? -- Jim Barnes -- Certainly the game is rigged. Now it seems to be working. I don't know what I did differently, but thanks to the help from the group. (I did repeat the setup, and for some reason, it "caught" this time.) doug --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
