I just went to the archive to look for a post that I had deleted locally and I am surprised at how much SPAM is recorded in the archives. I'm subscribed to several SuSE email lists and I'm not receiveing any of that junk email from any email list , so I'm thankful the listserver is filtering it out. But, why does it bother to archive spam?

Dunno, I asked that same question last week. Seems like they would send the mail to the archive *after* the spam filtering, not before. Scott -- POPFile, the OpenSource EMail Classifier http://popfile.sourceforge.net/ Linux 2.6.11.4-21.8-default x86_64 SuSE Linux 9.3 (x86-64)

Good thing that they keep everything. It might filter out something that should have been posted. And don't forget! Someone just might WANT to know about all the sex aids that they are missing out on! :) JIM -- Jim Hatridge Linux User #88484 ------------------------------------------------------ WartHog Bulletin Info about new German Stamps http://www.fuzzybunnymilitia.org/~hatridge/bulletin/index.php Viel Feind -- Viel Ehr' Anti-US Propaganda stamp collection http://www.fuzzybunnymilitia.org/~hatridge/collection/index.php
