my login is "adagilson", but my main directory was called "victor" because there's a directory called "adagilson" for another user (it was a bad installation for adagilson). now intend to delete the current directory "adagilson" (no long used); and rename the directory called "victor" to "adagilson" as it should be. Is there any problem doing this? a.
If there aren t any differences in groups and rights it should work. Make a backup of the directories an try ist. Use yast to change the user-configuration (home direcory etc.)

The home dir can be changed directly, but the owner might have to be changed manually later: it is related to the numerical id defined in the /etc/passwd file. -- Cheers, Carlos Robinson
