[SLE] directory structure corrupr message in windows nt
Folks, I mounted an NTFS partition on my LINUX system, and I untarred a file I had downloaded from the INET.\ Now I can't remove the directories it created, nor does NT recognize the "D" drive anymore and it shows as full. I can still access all the data from LINUX (lot of good that does me since I need this to work under NT). When I try to delete from LINUX, I get can't unlink and operation not permitted. What can I do? Any suggestions on how to recup this NT drive easily? Thanks, Glenn E. The NT filesystem is still alpha quality as far as writing is concerned. Reading works fine, but if you need reliable write access you should use FAT partions. You've probably corrupted the NTFS partition. I trust you have a backup. If you don't, but Linux can still read the corrupted partition, you might be able to get your data safely onto an ext2 partition. All sounds like trouble to me...
