[opensuse] New Bugzilla
The openSUSE bugzilla has changed format. What I don't see is how to create a new bug report. Clicking on "New" or "File a bug" apparently doesn't do it. I'm taken to a panel where I can search, but I don't see any way to actually create a new bug report. On an existing bug page right below bug number title I see: home new browse search [ ] reports requests help login On bugzilla home, file a bug is nearly dead center. Both work here only after logging in, but clicking a new link opens the attachmategroup.com login page. If you haven't been there in a while, try clearing your cookies and trying again. https://en.opensuse.org/Report_bugs --> 1 Accessing Bugzilla --> http://bugzilla.opensuse.org/enter_bug.cgi?product=openSUSE+13.1&format=guided Takes me to the login prompt. Then to the new bug entry form, which is first a search page so that you try to find a similar one first. Browse down the page, and you get to step 2 of 3, which asks for the "component" in a drop list... there you go. Start filling. -- Cheers / Saludos, Carlos E. R. What is confusing is that initially you need to select BU and this is not documented anywhere. Nor what BU is. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

Your BU Filter Preference is: Filter by URL (change) All: Show all products Internal Novell Products: Internal Novell Products that do not belong to a classification. Novell Products: Novell Products that do not belong to a classification. openSUSE: openSUSE I came here via bugzilla.opensuse.org - New, so I do not know why it asks me about Novell Products. I expected it to go to openSUSE directly. if you go directly via https://bugzilla.opensuse.org/enter_bug.cgi?product=openSUSE%2013.1 you of course bypass this question. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

That BU thing certainly gets in the way, but I still don't see a way to create a new report. However, that link you provided takes me to the right area. Why is it so hard to find on the "Find a bug" page? -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

The fact that we are having this discussion for at least the 4th time points out just how much this bugzilla need a refresh. The design simple sucks, when people have to post on s mailing list just to figure it out. Maybe we should file a bug report on bugzilla? Byfield did on Linux Magazine.
