[opensuse] Latest TB update sends draft messages
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 I'm using Thunderbird 31.1.0 updated today from the Update repository. The system is running KDE 4.14 on openSUSE 13.1 x86_64. I have noticed that messages sent to mailing lists appear to be duplicated, but further inspection shows each copy to be partial, with a bit more text added to each one, until the final version, which is as it was when I clicked the 'Send' button. I haven't changed any settings, and the 'Copies and Folders' setting appears to be correct (ie. save drafts on the IMAP Drafts folder of my ISP), but the Drafts folder is empty, even while I compose this message. Maybe I should revert to TB 24.7, but then I'd be missing out on security patches. Anyone else seen this behaviour? oops, meant to reply to list, sent it direct instead, (and encrypted too for pete sake). List copy below: We aren't seeing it at this end Bob. But I've seen the same symptoms, although more often with Gmail (and other Imap) even my own server. It has to to with automatic saves as drafts when there is pauses in the typing. I've played with this in the past and found that it really only sends the final version to the addressee, but it often looks to the sender as if multiple short messages were sent. So write us another email, and pause for a while, and we can include your final message in our reply to show what we receive. Haven't noticed any fragments from you arriving on the list. - -- _____________________________________ - ---This space for rent--- -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.9 (MingW32) iEYEARECAAYFAlQQnxIACgkQv7M3G5+2DLLJugCdGiR4WTppgA96PhZd9IqnTsZ9 k78An0dQzrUivE1D5H/34lB5h5LuFXOe =8ysT -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

This is not an OpenSuse/Linux thing; the Win version is doing the same thing. It's most annoying. Daniel Feiglin --- This email is free from viruses and malware because avast! 31.1.0 is fubar'd. It also refuses to send to lists from your address book if the list names contain a space... . I went straight to the beta version of 32 where the problem isn't present. No, no duplicates.
In my case, TB refused to send mail to a list I had set up to several friends' emails in my addressbook. Ah, that type of mail list, not this type of mail list ;-) -- Cheers / Saludos, Carlos E. R. (from 13.1 x86_64 "Bottle" at Telcontar)

this should be fixed with 31.1.1 which is available in the mozilla repo meanwhile. Wolfgang -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org
