Would wine be a possibility for the WP 4.2 under Linux since you have 2 partitions and Linux can access the FAT partition and startup the WP 4.2 program? -----Original Message----- From: James Hatridge [mailto:James.Hatridge@epost.de] Sent: Thursday, October 24, 2002 16:58 To: SuSE List Subject: [SLE] keyboard question ... Hi all... My wife's 386 just bit the dust. So I put her on one of my 486s dual-booting Dos & SuSE 7.2. Now the question is how do I slow down the keyboard under linux? My wife has problems with her fingers and can not type very fast. Today the first time we were on Linux together (I was teaching her) every time she touched a button it gave 3 or 4 letters. She really wants to learn Linux, but I have got to slow it down. BTW I need the command line program. She does not use X (or M$ either) windows. Just a thought... She uses WP 4.2 under Dos (has used it since 1987). Is there a command line word processer for Linux that uses WP commands. All I've seen are ones based on Word Star. ( It would be great if someone would port WP 4.2 to Linux.) Hi Sean, Thanks for the idea. But if I understand wine it's only for X-windows. WP 4.2 is a command line word processer. On the other hand I could try to get dosemu to work on her system. But I've never been able to configure it correctly. Or at least since 5.2 when they changed the config file. It was simple before. Thanks JIM
