Now this is weird! I have an 'old' Compaq P60 running as gateway/firewall for my home network with SuSE 6.3. I had to reboot (after 50+ days!) and now all of a sudden the monitor is not showing any colours any more? It's not really a problem as I only sometimes change a few setup things. But a few programs come out with grey on grey colours, for instance mc (have to start it with -b) and vbox. Is this the video card dying? (which is built in, I think) Or is it some option I changed somewhere inadvertedly? Anybody? thanx Jeroen Verstegen jeroen@jota.nl www.jota.nl -- To unsubscribe send e-mail to suse-linux-e-unsubscribe@suse.com For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the FAQ at http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/

Thanks for your answer. I didn't compile anything, just ran SuSE out of the box. As I said there was no problem until I rebooted after about 50 days. Before that I had rebooted quit a few times during installation and I've never had any trouble. By the way changing consoles (ALT-F*) does not help. I'm still in the dark about this. greetings Jeroen
