Hi all I need to capture video with the Real Producer Plus for linux, they support all the video capture cards considered in the BTTV project. I will get a new ATI RAGE 128 Pro All-in-wonder TV and I "wonder" if it is supported by SuSE 6.4? for tv capture and for X displaying at the same time? Thanks in advance for any help Miguel Rabi PLUG Peruvian Linux User Group http://www.linux.org.pe -- To unsubscribe send e-mail to suse-linux-e-unsubscribe@suse.com For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the FAQ at http://www.suse.com/support/faq

Yes this card is fully supported by the XFree86 version shipped with the
SuSE 6.4.
For the tv capture, look at GATOS (http://www.core.binghamton.edu/~insomnia/gatos/)
. With this soft you can use the TV tuner of the All-in-Wonder 128 and
take snapshots and video captures.

Thanks for the tip But, in the GATOS FAQ is very clear.. Gatos do not support ATI- Tv Wonder cards. They say "this card uses the Bt878 chip, but Ati doesn't mention this detail. The next cuestion is: if the card has this chip bt878, may I configure it by using th Bttv package and the update tool? included in the SuSE 6.4? which card I have to select as an alternative? Too many questions, thanks for your attention Miguel Rabi PLUG http://www.linux.org.pe Jean-François Bocquet @Ouranos.Chaos.fr wrote:
