Hi, I have a rather freaked out config here. i) I run a mail server and IMAP on a 7.2, ii) I run LDAP on another 8.1 server What I want to do ------------------ I want to authenticate my MAIL(IMAP) users on 7.2 from the LDAP server running on the 8.1 Server. a. Is it possible ? b. If yes then how ? Any help would be really appreciated, I have done the hunting on the web for the same, no one got it actually working on SuSE there were some who got it working on RH but they did not remember what was the magic cookie. Any help would be appreciated. Cheers Vishal K

Yes, I beleive so. There is a PAM LDAP module that will authenticate against an LDAP server. Set up your 7.2 box to authenticate against 8.1 the LDAP server. It should work. No details here however. Maybe someone else can be more detailed on the PAM module configuration. -- Marc Christensen http://www.mecworks.com/~marc/resume/ http://counter.li.org/cgi-bin/runscript/display-person.cgi?user=9502
