OK, last version I was looking right at them and didn't see them. I have the purchased version (Amazon finally shipped). It came with the "startup" book, but nothing else. (and yes, I remember the high static to noise on this for v10 and do not want to start it back up) Is the only book the "reference" PDF? I remember one of my last versions had one for "users" and one for "admin" or something like that. Did they just change the names? I'm still having issues with Netatalk, and setting up printers. I remember there being something about having to set a password for the printers...I need to print the books out. And why the h*ll isn't there a GUI for Netatalk like SAMBA? (yea, we still run a few mac OS9 boxes here. "Appletalk" is needed. -- Thanks, George ``One morning I shot an elephant in my pajamas. Look at YaST and check for the manuals. IIRC there are rpm's for both user and admin.

I've never used SWAT, I cut my files by hand. I've never been able to get SWAT to run for me.

Do you know a link to somewhere to read the admin manual before installing anything? Specially the translations. No, but this sounds like a "feature request" Having the manuals available as a free download off something other than the install media.

On CD1 and DVDs: directory docu contains the PDF.

Now we only need to find a way to write into your (and others) mind so that you'll find this without asking ;-). I hope (didn't check) we have some information about this on www.opensuse.org, Andreas -- Andreas Jaeger, aj@suse.de, http://www.suse.de/~aj SUSE LINUX Products GmbH, Maxfeldstr. 5, 90409 Nürnberg, Germany GPG fingerprint = 93A3 365E CE47 B889 DF7F FED1 389A 563C C272 A126

OK, but my original question was:
Is the only book the "reference" PDF? I remember one of my last versions had one for "users" and one for "admin" or something like that.
(other than the "start up" that I assume is the "user guide".) *It would help if you told us what they were named so we didn't have to ask. Did you just change the name? I don't like to assume too much. I looked on opensuse.org and did see the "Reference" PDF but I just want to make sure that's it. Yes, I did print the one off of the DVD... I don't mind printing things out, but I just want to get the correct thing. Any other documentations? (good Library reading) -- Thanks, George Failure is not an option with Microsoft; it's bundled with the software!

It's the reference PDF - and the startup PDF, Andreas

I thought that would be so, but as I don't have version 10, I couldn't check, therefore I asked ;-) (we were talking about that in the spanish list) Is the administration manual still called that, or is it the "Reference" book you mentioned on another mail? - -- Cheers, Carlos Robinson -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.0 (GNU/Linux) Comment: Made with pgp4pine 1.76 iD4DBQFDYBMRtTMYHG2NR9URAu4eAJdWdb1P3Uw++KNlr6OVhi6WUL+kAKCL2gG6 qUC330CixuR5OUE29/ANdw== =fCWg -----END PGP SIGNATURE-----
