Hello, Strange : I moved from SuSE 9.0 to 9.1 and I can't format a floppy anymore. The icon "My computer" shows the content of a floppy but kformat doesn't work. I tried with a mounted and an unmounted floppy but with the same result : the floppy drive doesn't start. As it is much to frustrating to switch to Wondiwn 2000, I'd like to know the trick ... Thanks in advance, Jean-Marie

I recommend adding users to the fs part of the line. Check permissions ls /media -lh Check write protect not set remember fir a 3.5 floppy closed is open & open is closed did this help. -- _______ _______ _______ __ / ____\ \ / / ____|_ _\ \ / / | | \ \ /\ / / (___ | | \ \ / / | | \ \/ \/ / \___ \ | | \ \/ / | |____ \ /\ / ____) |_| |_ \ / \_____| \/ \/ |_____/|_____| \/
Hi Martin, I hope that you have a strong sense of humor : the floppy was locked !!! I think I'll go to sleep now... Jean-Marie Le Lundi 20 Septembre 2004 18:13, Martin Mielke a écrit :
