Hi, Situation is like this. Fresh install of SuSE 8.0 Pro on a Compaq Evo N600c laptop, 256 MB Ram, / (jfs filesystem) and swap. After installing tried to launch YOU using manual update on ftp.suse.com server. When downloading the list of available packages to update, for each one there is a message: "Cannot check patch 'yyyyy' because the GPG package is not installed or patch description is corrupted. SuSE cannot guarantee that the patch has been created by SuSE". I checked and I have indeed installed the GPG pakage which comes on disc1/sec1. Does anyone else having this problem and if so possible solutions ? Thanks ./ luis oliveira
Yes, I have that problem on one of my SuSE 8.0 machines but I don't know of a solution (as yet or the reason for that message). Eddie On Saturday 27 Apr 2002 13:39, Luis Oliveira wrote:

On my fresh install of SuSE 8.0 Pro, suse-build-key-1.0-41 was also installed. Do you have this? Have you tried signing the SuSE key?: gpg --edit-key suse lsign [...insert password if you have a key...] I don't know whether this will work, as I don't have this problem. -- Karol Pietrzak PGP KeyID: 3A1446A0
