Hello :-) I can't find "yum" on the standard openSUSE repositories. Looking here: http://software.opensuse.org/search I find *a lot* of yum versions. What is the prefered one? I tried the two first and none seems to work. The first (factory 11.1??) have python problems, but also this same error: AFAIK there is no openSUSE repository in the rpm involved there (a home made one) yum install tldp-repo-0.1-1.noarch.rpm http://download.opensuse.org/distribution/SL-OSS-factory/inst-source/suse/re...: [Errno 14] HTTP Error 404: Not Found Essai d'un autre miroir. Erreur : Cannot retrieve repository metadata (repomd.xml) for repository: opensuse. Please verify its path and try again I'm stuck thanks jdd -- http://www.dodin.net http://valerie.dodin.org http://news.opensuse.org/2009/04/13/people-of-opensuse-jean-daniel-dodin/ -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

Well, I have yum installed via standard repo on 11.0 and it's under: http://ftp5.gwdg.de/pub/linux/suse/opensuse/update/11.0/ I have 11.1 installed on a VM, so I did a little check there to and found it is not under that repo But searching on software.opensuse.org I found this 1-click install link: http://software.opensuse.org/ymp/openSUSE:Tools/openSUSE_11.1/yum.ymp for Opensuse 11.1 You have to look at the descriptions in the top right corner of each version you'll see the OS it's for. -- Michael S.
