[opensuse] Information after unfinished Smart update
Trying to update my 10.1 with the latest with Smart. After downloading a whole bunch of files, at the time of unpacking/installing I get this error information with which I do not know what to do with. This has already been reported and fixed upstream, but probably your package isn't updated. Please, try to update only the 'smart' package using command line (smart update && smart upgrade smart). -- % Mauricio Teixeira (netmask) % mteixeira{a}webset{d}net <> Maceio/AL/BR % http://mteixeira.webset.net <> http://pmping.sf.net -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
Many thanks for your help and thanks to Patrick Shanahan too. Did all that and still found the same error message. Next I looked at the rpm's and found that it contained a lot of unfinished rpm's. Finished the download and are now happily finishing my update. On Saturday 18 November 2006 00:13, Mauricio Teixeira (netmask) wrote:

Which version? (rpm -q smart)

Could you please install the latests smart test packages from http://software.openSUSE.org/download/smart/ (smart 0.49.1 == 0.50rc1). It contains some fixes related to big upgrade (i.e. 10.1->10.2). And after not using one offending package (newest kdeevn) I was able to install the other 50 or so packages. Locked the older version of kdeevn and the error message did not show up anymore. Told smart to update all and it showed amarok packages to update. Told to proceed and got the same message again (see below) No download. Told to download the marked packages the error message did not show, download proceeded without problem and amarok is updated. ---------------------------------- Traceback (most recent call last): File "/usr/lib/python2.4/site-packages/smart/interfaces/gtk/interactive.py", line 171, in callback exec code in globals File "<callback>", line 1, in ?
