I am currently running 6.3 and I have a system time problem. When I leave my system on for a long time time, I start to loose system time. In one day I lost over two hours. I have tryed different time zones, but I still have the same problem. Is there a program I can use to reset the system time? I have tryed different time zones, but I still have the same problem.
Is there a program I can use to reset the system time?
Thanks,

Yes there is a command you can use (as root) to set the system time in Linux. It is called date. See the man pages for more options on the date command, but I use date 05120746 ---> to set the date to May 12 with a time of 7:46 am. You may also want to consider that your mother board may need a new battery for the bios. If the time loss continues, replace the battery and your system should function normally thereafter.
