Is it possible to pass the --no-checksig option to kynaptic or synaptic. Either that or which rpmkey do I need to install to get MPlayer? Simon

MPlayer is from Packman's repository, so that's the rpmkey you'll need. Alternatively, you can edit /etc/apt/apt.conf.d/gpg-checker.conf, and replace "true" with "false." After selecting packages and clicking on the 'Apply'-button, adialog shows up. On of the two checkboxes in that dialog is the equivalent of apt's --no-check option. Cheers, Leen
