Sorry, I deleted the mail from John P, but here's the script I use for running fetchmail in daemon mode. It assumes your config file is /etc/fetchmail.conf Stick it in /etc/init.d and insserv fetchmail to have it run on boot -- James Ogley, Webmaster, Rubber Turnip james@rubberturnip.org.uk http://www.rubberturnip.org.uk Jabber: riggwelter@myjabber.net Using Free Software since 1994, running GNU/Linux (SuSE 8.2) GNOME updates for SuSE: http://www.usr-local-bin.org

Many thanks for that. Only one question - is /etc/fetchmail.conf the same as a .fetchmailrc file as created from YaST or webmin? If so, that gives me a nice easy route to make one without breaking anything :-) John -- John Pettigrew Headstrong Games john@headstrong-games.co.uk Fun : Strategy : Price http://www.headstrong-games.co.uk/ Board games that won't break the bank
