[opensuse] 11.1 Amarok 2 doesn't recognize my ipod
Amarok 1.4 seems to play music but there is no sound. system sounds work. Any suggestions? this stuff worked until I put 4.3 in next to 3.5 -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

Make sure amarok is using the right sound in settings. I don't remember where that is, I'm using Amarok 2, but It is probably under settngs --> configure amarok -- This message has been scanned for viruses and dangerous content by MailScanner, and is believed to be clean. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

First make sure you have the needed lib files libgpod4 IIRC then for me I also have to mount the Ipod as a storage device then it shows up in Amarok2 ready to accept songs. -- "We must plan for freedom, and not only for security, if for no other reason than only freedom can make security more secure." Nope my Ipod, Ipod classic 7th gen, is still running the Apple firmware, IIRC the Ipod touch and Iphones don't work with anything but Itunes but work is being done to fix that you may want to watch Songbirds development for that if you have one of those two. P.S. Please don't top post, some people on this list is not as nice as me about this. -- "We must plan for freedom, and not only for security, if for no other reason than only freedom can make security more secure."
