[opensuse] NX client cannot connect. gets: Invalid MIT-MAGIC-COOKIE-1 key fixed
I upgraded my nxclient to 3.2.14 today and couldn't connect to any of my existing sessions on server machines. That is very bad because I make my living doing that! After a lot of googling and trial and error I found that I had to do: xhost + and the connection was successful. The message 'Invalid MIT-MAGIC-COOKIE-1 key' is not a very good lead in this case and I've never had to fiddle with xserver permissions before. I'm writing this note in hopes that it will get indexed and other people who get this message will not waste half the morning as I have... wcn -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

I don't know if security is an issue in your situation. If these machines are at all exposed you probably don't want to use xhost + Google xhost security for more info. xhost + is used only on my client machine and it's WAY behind a firewall you can be sure. thnx.. wcn Dave Howorth wrote:
