Does someone have a clue how to get tablet working along ordinary mouse, so that I don't have to plug-in and out tablet, when I don't use it. On a normal desktop use I like my logitech mouse better and I use that but using gimp with intuos is of course better. I hope you're getting better :-) I have a Graphire (the small one) and I know Graphire2 behaves the same. If you just plug it, it should work as an USB mouse out-of-the-box. You need special configuration only if you want the rubber to act as a separate entity (e.g. for Gimp). Anyway, SaX2 in SuSE 8.0 and 8.1 has a special section to configure all that very quickly. Intuos should be work just as well, but I haven't tried it. If you're only looking for a mouse replacement, the Graphire2 is more than enough. It is the size of a mousepad.

Remember what devices you must use: - - for a real mouse, /dev/psaux (PS/2) or /dev/input/mice (USB) - - the tablet can work with /dev/input/mice, but in this case the rubber, the pen and the mouse are mixed in one device (and you loose some funtionality) - - if you want the tablet to work as such, use /dev/input/eventx (where x is a number, usually 0 but it may be different if you have other USB devices) Sax2 configures all that in a single click in 8.1.
