Alvaro, that was an interesting script. Is there any way of adapting this to change an entry in /etc/hosts for our server that gets its internet IP via DHCP. This is so sendmail does not complain about gethostbyaddr (IP addr) failed in /var/log/warn. Sendmail has no errors if I correct the entry I added to /etc/hosts for the correct IP (which should not change since the computer rarely gets rebooted), but our ISP has problems at times with their DHCP server, which then changes our IP, which sendmail then complains about til I correct the IP in /etc/hosts. Any ideas welcome.
