Re: [SLE] scroll limit with shift+pageup/down
Assuming you are talking about xterm terminal windows then,
man xterm
Check out the option: -sl

Hi all,
Can some one please tell how to regulate the number of lines that are buffered when I cat a file to my terminal? Where can I set the limit? I need a lot more number of lines to stay in the pageup/down buffer than currently my 129x80 console permits me to.
I'm not sure, but it's probably compiled into the kernel somewhere. Have a look around the kernel source. I'm using fvwm2 and I got around the problem by adding this line to .Xdefaults file xterm*SaveLines: 5000 -- use Perl; #powerful programmable prestidigitation
