During SuseLinux 10 standard installation GRUB modified MBR
Normally as boot manager I prefer BootItNG and so was rather surprised to find that GRUB had knocked it out. Was not mentioned in the Startup Guide that this could be avoided by changing the location of GRUB from MBR -> the linux /boot partition. Had to re-install BootItNG and reinstall GRUB from the Suse CD for this. Roy

Wow imagine that. A boot loader modified the MBR.
