how to upgrade from suse pro 7.0 to suse pro 7.3
I am new to suse but have other Unix experience. How is the best and recommended way to upgrade suse? ______________________________________________________________ Marshael Morris e-mail: morris.marshael@mccg.org mailto:morris.marshael@mccg.org Medical Center of Central Georgia phone: (478) 633-2160 353 First Street Suite 200 fax: (478) 633-1546 Macon, Georgia 31201

I strongly suggest you back up your data, format and do a clean install of 7.3. There have been many improvements in the installer and hardware detection that you'll get the best system that way. I strongly agree with Keith, not only for SuSE, but for all other Unix and Linux distros. I have a script that makes a backup of the important configurations files, such as smb.conf, hosts, resolv.conf and others. Eventhough the installer may ask for some of the same information, I like backup copies of these. On 9 Apr 2002 at 11:25, Keith Winston wrote:
