[opensuse] RouterBOARD 44G driver for opensuse11
Dear my friends, I have RouterBOARD 44G in my OpenSuSE11. My OpenSuSE11 recognizes the RouterBOARD as RTL-8169 Gigabit Ethernet for both 4 ports/cards. I've tried by configuring the IP but the cards behave likewise their are not correctly recognized by my OpenSuSE11. If I ping to the ip address (192.168.1.9) or even '127.0.0.1' the lost is 100%. They can not ping even to themselves. Where can I download the linux-driver for OpenSuSE11. Has anybody among you ever tried to install this RouterBOARD on OpenSuSE11? Thank you very much in advance. Hi Steve,
I've tried "modprobe via_rhine" before. But once I launched the YaST2, I could not find it there. I found only what belongs to RTL-8169 (r8169). So the 'via_rhine' has not been launched.
What should I do to make my OpenSuSE11 does not use 'r8169' but use 'via_rhine' instead?
Please keep telling me.
Thank you very much.

Hi Steve,
You have solved my problem.
Thank you very....very.... much...... I configured the RouterBOARD with YaST2 but manually. And I chosed 'via_rhine', configured the IP etc. And that's all the RouterBOARD works very properly.
Thank you very much for your help.
