libart_lgpl_2.la file missing?
I've been having issues with trying to compile some KDE apps, a screensaver at the moment, that is trying to find the file mentioned in the subject. I've searched for it with no luck. I've noticed that after I installed Ximian Desktop 2 that it has its own version of the package. Has anyone else here had issues compiling programs that need libart_lgpl? I need to post to the ximian list as well, as this is a file that needs to be there to compile things. -- Greg Macek | Senior IT Manager Marketing Resources, Inc. it-guy@mrichi.com | http://www.mrichi.com

It's on the SuSE FTP site or its mirrors.....like this one: ftp://mirror.mcs.anl.gov/pub/ftp.suse.com/i386/supplementary/KDE/update_for_8.2/development and libart_lgpl-2 is in the/same/path/upto/update_for_8.2/base hth -- Death benefits = oxymoron. ---------------------------------------------------------------- SuSE 8.2 - KDE 3.1.3
And this won't screw up anything else, such as any ximian gnome apps that depend on this rpm? Or do I just need to install the devel package? On Mon, 2003-08-11 at 22:36, columbo wrote:

Hmmm....I would think that ximian would have auto installed the devel package when it installed the base package. In any case, since you have the base package already, just installing the devel package should do it for you assuming you used the suse8.2 ximian package. -- Confucius say: I didn't say that! ---------------------------------------------------------------- SuSE 8.2 - KDE 3.1.3
