I'm using 6.3 (and 6.1 before that) and there is a symlink from /etc/rc.d to /sbin/init.d put there by the install (cause I didn't put it there!) So either dir will work fine, but yes to be absolutly technical it's /sbin/init.d. There's even a skeleton there to use. -----Original Message----- From: Scott, David [mailto:David.Scott@getronics.com] Sent: 12. október 2000 20:32 To: 'suse-linux-e@suse.com' Subject: RE: [SLE] where to put commands to run at startup /etc/rc.d/rc.local would be my first choice David Scott -----Original Message----- From: Daniel Casey [mailto:dwcasey@mysun.com] Sent: Thursday, October 12, 2000 12:55 PM To: suse-linux-e@suse.com Subject: [SLE] where to put commands to run at startup On SuSE 6.4, where is the correct place to put some commands to run at startup? Can I put an entry in inittab to run a script that has my commands or is there someplace I can insert the commands directly?
