Open Office 1.1.2
Folks, Does anyone know when and/or if SuSE will be including OO 1.1.2 in an update, or is better just to update 1.1.1 and call it a day? If I need to update it manually, are there any glitches any run into in the process? Thanks, ...Paul

Why not just download the tar.gz file which has an installer and install it into another directory so you can test it. If it does what you want then you can change your ~/.sversion to reflect this new version. You can then just use rpm to remove the older version that ships with SUSE. I've done this many times. -- "There is no need to teach that stars can fall out of the sky and land on a flat Earth in order to defend religious faith."

I downloaded it from OpenOffice.org, installed it and changed the properties for the desktop icon to point to 1.1.2, end of story. Regards Sid. -- Sid Boyce .... Hamradio G3VBV and keen Flyer ===== LINUX ONLY USED HERE =====
