Mozilla Personal Security Manager Missing
Problem: Certain web pages generate an error message in Mozilla that says I must install Personal Security Manager to view the page. So, I used both YaST and Ximian's Red Carpet to upgraded Mozilla to v1.0, with no success at getting PSM to function.I also now seem to have several versions of Mozilla. http://www.mozilla.org/projects/security/pki/psm/ seems to indicate that PSM is installed automatically, so I downloaded the Mozilla installer from mozilla.org, thinking I would just uninstall the existing installation(s) and then install the Mozilla distro. Well, YaST complained that if I uninstalled Mozilla, it would break Nautilus. As a newbie to Linux (but with plenty of OS/2 and W2K experience), I don't think this is a good thing, so I cancelled the uninstall. I'm running SuSE 8.0 primarily with KDE, but use Gnome to keep Evolution up to date via Ximian's Red Carpet (I connect to an Exchange server at work). So, how do I clean up my Mozilla installations; get PSM installed, and set up my system so that it is straightforward to upgrade Mozilla in future? Or, should I just forget about Mozilla and try installing Netscape? TIA, Mark -- ______________________________________________ Another Message From L. Mark Stone http://www.lmstone.com

Uninstall PSM in Red Carpet. Install PSM in Red Carpet. Fixed it for me. Be well, Lissa -- The greatest respect we can have for law and order is to question and challenge the people who are enforcing it. Lenny Bruce
