AFAIK not, you still need the proprietary "Oracle VM VirtualBox Extension Pack", as mentioned on https://www.virtualbox.org/wiki/Downloads. Since this package contains code that is not compatible with GPL, it can't be packaged along with the standard VB package. Even Oracle themselves don't. Tks, I will use openSUSE packages rather than the previous Oracle ones. -- (paka)Patrick Shanahan Plainfield, Indiana, USA @ptilopteri http://en.opensuse.org openSUSE Community Member facebook/ptilopteri http://wahoo.no-ip.org Photo Album: http://wahoo.no-ip.org/gallery2 Registered Linux User #207535 @ http://linuxcounter.net -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org
I’m using usb in virtual box just fine. I’m running openSUSE 13.2 64
bit and virtual box 4.3.20
Here's what I had to do to get it to work:
* Install Virtual box
* Install the extension pack
* add my user account to the lp and vboxusers groups (log-off and on
for this to take effect)
* install these packages:
- make
- kernel-devel
- gcc
run /etc/init.d/vboxdrv setup as root
* reboot and USB works fine for me in virtual box
Hope this helps
