Hello, Looking at the dates for the glx module on the nvidia web page, it looks like there is a newer version than the one included on the 6.3 distribution. Will this new version be made available as an upgrade for 6.3, or will I have to load 6.4 to get it? I tried the one included on 6.3, and it did make things run a LOT faster, but it also caused a large number of artifacts - lines that shouldn't be there, etc. This made it unusable for my applications. I am hoping some more work has been done to clean things up in the newer version. On an aside, anyone plugged into the XFree86 project? What is the story with Nvidia chipsets and the DRI in 4.0? Has nvidia's commitment to a commercial "official" openGL implementation killed support for XFree86? Ray, I downloaded this driver as well. It was a very good improvement over the XFree stuff...just one small drawback. If you plan on playing Quake 3..forget it. The driver from nVidia has a line at the bottom of the readme that says their release has problems with Quake 3. I would say it does. One can play the game for about 10 minutes and then X freezes rock solid. I went back to the 3.3.X version in SuSE 6.3 and I play for hours worry free. just my 0.02
