HI all... I've got an old AHA-1510 card that I'm using to run an SCSI scanner. When I do this command "modprobe aha152x aha152x=0x140,12" I get these errors: ----------------------------------------------------- Apr 29 16:32:05 Tenn kernel: scsi : aborting command due to timeout : pid 26, scsi1, channel 0, id 6, lun 0 Test Unit Ready 00 00 00 00 00 Apr 29 16:32:05 Tenn kernel: aha152x: abort(), SCpnt=0xc03b9e00, QUEUE STATUS: Apr 29 16:32:05 Tenn kernel: issue_SC: Apr 29 16:32:05 Tenn kernel: 0xc03b9e00: target=6; lun=0; cmnd=(Test Unit Ready 00 00 00 00 00 Apr 29 16:32:05 Tenn kernel: ); residual=256; buffers=0; phase |not issued|; next=0x00000000 Apr 29 16:32:05 Tenn kernel: current_SC: Apr 29 16:32:05 Tenn kernel: none Apr 29 16:32:05 Tenn kernel: disconnected_SC: Apr 29 16:32:05 Tenn kernel: Apr 29 16:32:05 Tenn kernel: waiting: SCSISEQ (); SCSISIG (MESSAGE IN); INTSTAT (lo); SSTAT (); SSTAT (); SXFRCTL0 (CH1 ); SIGNAL (ATNI SELI BSYI REQI ACKI ); SELID (3f), SSTAT2 (SEMPTY ); SFCNT (0); SCSICNT (0), OFFCNT(0), SSTAT4 (); DMACNTRL0 (16BIT PIO READ INTEN ); DMASTAT (DFIFOEMP ) Apr 29 16:32:05 Tenn kernel: enabled interrupts (ENBUSFREE ) ------------------------------------------------- I'm using the SCSI card only for the scanner. Jim, people have had trouble using the cheap scsi cards that come with the scanners. I don't believe you will get this 1510 card to work. I would suggest getting a better scsi card. Adaptec has some good ones. I personally use the advansys cards as they are usually a bit cheaper to purchase. Nevada
